About

A small company that builds small, sharp things.

Recursis is a holding company for independent software ventures. It exists so that a handful of focused products — a community app, an AI gear identifier, a freight tool, a card-restoration service — can share one set of standards, one infrastructure playbook, and one owner who cares about all of them.

The name and the mark

"Recursis" is a word that didn't exist until we made it — coined from real ones. It leans on recursion, a thing defined in terms of itself, and the Latin recurrere — "to run back." That's the idea at the heart of the company: you run it back. Try, learn, return, try again.

The mark is an ouroboros — a snake eating its own tail. The loop stands for persistence: the cycle of never giving up, of always coming back to the problem. The bite stands for ingenuity — the snake closes the circle itself; nothing outside it finishes the shape. Together they say what Recursis believes: keep coming back, and come back sharper.

How it's run

Recursis is deliberately small and self-funded. Every product is designed, built, and operated in-house. That shape is a feature, not a limitation:

The portfolio

Five ventures are live today: TOCTalk (community app for coworkers), KitID by Gear Wizard Armory (AI gear identification and kit building), Lane Alerts by RouteAware (lane risk alerts for freight brokers), PokéSpa (disclosed restoration for collectible cards), and Never Watch iCarley (a parody PSA, purely for fun). In development: RouteAware — full-service fleet management and a load marketplace with a navigation aide in the works. More are in the pipeline.

What we build

The portfolio doubles as a range. At the simple end, a one-page parody site that exists to land a single joke, and an affiliate funnel with free tools and real writing around it. In the middle, print-on-demand storefronts wired to ad funnels — Terrible Shirt Co and the merch shops behind our other brands — and a full-catalog Shopify store, Gear Wizard Armory, whose orders reach the supplier without anyone retyping them. At the top, phone apps and software people pay for: TOCTalk on the App Store and Google Play, KitID with a native app and Stripe payments, and Lane Alerts for freight brokers. Same shop, same standards, every rung. Our edge is Hale, our proprietary in-house AI agent, working every build alongside us.
